yesterday i shared my photo of james franco at the no on 8 march through silverlake with steph and alek at ohlalamag.com (thanks for the shout out. LOVE you guys!). to my surprise the shot also got picked up by defamer and towleroad.com and i got a ton of hits to my blog and flickr account. i also got feedback and comments from people who mentioned other high-profile marchers including wanda sykes, zachary quinto from heroes and the upcoming star trek, wilson cruz and darryl stephens (noah from noah's arc), david blue (marc's boyfriend cliff on ugly betty) and drew barrymore. i know the message is the real point but (deeply shallow as i am) i salute any bold-faced name using the attention directed at them to shine a light on a worthy cause like this. you know, it really is a civil rights issue.
