last night jimmy and i took in a dodger game with robert and reuben and tim. in full-on recession mode we sat in the all-you-can-eat right field pavillion and ate our fill of dodger dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts and sodas. just $25.00 for the seats and the food but the best part was the free parking (which ends tonight). it was one of the week's "hero nights" this one featuring firefighters from pasadena, l.a. city and county fire departments who were recognized before the start of the game. here are robert and i beside the dodger fire truck that reads "flames should only be seen coming from a dodger fastball!"

the pacific stock exchange building just up the street from us has housed a nightclub since the 90's and the new management held an open-house recently to introduce themselves to the neighborhood. it's a great space. it would be nice to see some creative nightlife happening there.

and if you want to see some really amazing pictures check out the official white house photo stream on flickr. truly fascinating images of a man and his family on the world stage. check it out - http://www.flickr.com/photos/whitehouse/
