he asked for it

jimmy and i went to see a play called "he asked for it" on friday. we had dinner with aubrey at hedley's on robertson before the show and then the three of us met ron and john, robert, and hugo at the macha theatre on kings road. i thought the show could use some editing but it was daring and topical for sure. good acting all around.

so i'm in a funky space with my eater.com gig. soon after they hired me the site was caught up in a mini-scandal involving a downtown restaurant/bar called the must that ended with a slam by the bar's owners and an apology from the site's editor - http://la.eater.com/archives/2009/07/02/the_matter_of_the_must_owners_response_our_apology.php.

in the blogosphere it was kind of a thing. and right after that i got an urgent call for my first assignment which definitely could have gone smoother on my part. anyway, a couple of pix (the two exterior shots, not my best) i took made it online and you can see them here - http://la.eater.com/archives/2009/07/02/the_dish_mozza_2go_now_open.php
i've had pix on the site before but these are the first that they hired me for. you may notice in the comment section one lovely reader complain about the "atrocious" pictures but that remark was actually made about the other 3 shots posted before mine (whew!). it's rough in cyberspace.
