pershing square downtown is now home to a new outdoor public art space. they've also set up a designated pet area and announced some cool summer programs including friday movies on the lawn and concerts by el chicano, paula cole, gene loves jezebel and the motels. on sundays they are hosting swing and dance bands and on wednesdays it's alternative music programmed by silverlake's spaceland. check out all the listings at wwwlaparks.org.
